Meet the Woman Championing Women’s Heart Health

We recently participated in the MediaplanetUSA Family Health campaign which featured WomenHeart SAC Member, Dr. Sharonne Hayes from Mayo Clinic and champion of women’s heart health. The article also featured WomenHeart Champion and advocate, Florence Champagne.

The campaigned joined industry advocates, leaders and professionals to raise awareness of the continuously growing impact of cardiovascular disease and the growing number of deaths associated with it – 1 in 4 deaths in the U.S. is caused by heart disease and anyone could be at risk! Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women and men in the United States and costs our country over $300 billion each year and risk for children is a growing concern.

The Family Health Edition was distributed through USA TODAY on Sept. 28th 2018 and published online. Learn about the continuously growing heart-health risks Americans are facing today and suggested methods from Dr. Hayes on how you can adopt now to help prevent complications for the entire family
