Beverly John

Beverly John is an administrative and operations professional with over 30 years of non-profit and professional service support, management, and leadership experience. She is skilled in non-profit organizational start-up, financial management and budgeting, human resources, programmatic development and operations, board management, strategic planning, and event management. She is skilled in assessing overall operations, working with cross-departmental teams with the goal of identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, cost effectiveness and programmatic impact. She enjoys the challenge of looking at the big picture, dissecting it as necessary, to help create an even better image! Among other duties, she currently manages state charitable registrations and assists with yearly filings for WomenHeart.

Beverly is from Washington, DC, married and a mother of three children. She is the founder of the Talking Drum Incorporated, a 501c3 non-profit that supports and advocates for the homeless and those impacted by mass incarceration, community and police violence within Washington, DC and Prince George’s County, MD.
