By joining the WomenHeart National Hospital Alliance, your hospital:
- positions itself as a leader in women’s heart health
- reinforces its commitment to women’s heart health and the health of your community
- supports the interests of your cardiovascular medical team
- establishes a peer-led WomenHeart Support Network for women with heart disease which is led by a woman heart patient trained at the WomenHeart Science & Leadership Symposium at Mayo Clinic or Washington, DC, providing post-discharge support and secondary prevention for your female heart patients
By having a WomenHeart Support Network, your hospital will:
- have an effective communications channel to provide post-discharge education and emotional and psychosocial support to help ensure patient compliance and adherence to post-discharge care
- increase patient satisfaction
- demonstrate community benefit as required by the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
And, your hospital
- will be highlighted as a National Hospital Alliance member in WomenHeart communications including a link to your hospital here
- has its WomenHeart Support Network meetings listed on the WomenHeart support network map
- may invite hospital staff to participate in WomenHeart educational programs, such as webinars and presentations
- stays current with WomenHeart through special email announcements about educational events and activities
- has access to WomenHeart materials, signage and programs to promote the partnership.
- is invited to join high level colleagues in health care, public policy and industry for WomenHeart’s premier events of the year including the Annual Business Meeting and the annual Wenger Awards Gala (both held in the spring in Washington, DC), honoring those individuals and organizations making extraordinary contributions to women’s heart health
