Gina Price Lundberg MD FACC FAHA is a Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in the division of Cardiology. She has served as the Clinical Director of the Emory Women’s Heart Center since it was founded in 2013. She is a Preventive Cardiologist and specializes in heart disease in women, lipid abnormalities and cardiovascular risk reduction. She founded the first women’s heart prevention program in the state of Georgia in 1998. She began working with WomenHeart in 2003 in the National Directory of Women’s Heart Centers and has been a strong supporter ever since.
Dr. Lundberg was the lead author of the American Heart Association’s 2018 Circulation white paper on heart centers for women, which provided a national framework for program development and future strategies to reduce cardiovascular disease. She is the American College of Cardiology Women in Cardiology Leadership Council Chair and serves in multiple roles to increase gender equity in cardiology. She is recognized nationally as a leader in preventive cardiology and women’s heart health, having led or co-led major regional and national conferences, contributed to consensus documents, and served on the editorial boards of leading cardiovascular journals.
She has also been an innovator in medical education, leveraging digital platforms and social media to enhance physician communication and expand patient engagement. Dr. Lundberg has received numerous awards from the AHA and Castle-Connolly Top Docs and Exceptional Women in Medicine.
