Diana Ramirez
Diana V. Ramirez is a heart disease survivor, educator, certified coach, and national advocate for women’s heart health. Originally from Venezuela, she has lived in the United States for more than 30 years, dedicating her life to education, advocacy, and empowering women across cultures.

Diana survived a life-threatening widowmaker heart attack involving the left anterior descending artery, an event that included a flatline moment and resulted in heart failure due to significant damage to her left ventricle. This experience transformed her purpose and deepened her commitment to helping women find meaning after life-altering health events.

A proud WomenHeart Champion, Diana advocates for awareness, early detection, patient-centered care, and the importance of recognizing women’s voices and symptoms in cardiovascular health. She is especially passionate about supporting women navigating a “second chance” in life—whether as heart survivors, immigrants, or both.

Diana holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and two master’s degrees in TESOL and Personal Coaching & Organizational Leadhership. Before immigrating to the U.S., she worked as a journalist in Venezuela and has spent her entire professional life in the educational field. She also holds a Colorado Teacher License with bilingual and culturally responsive endorsements.

Diana is married, the mother of two bilingual professional daughters, and a proud grandmother. She is currently writing a memoir: Latido: Coaching My Heart Back to Life, and continues to share her story through speaking and advocacy—guiding women to transform survival into purpose.
