My name is Vicky Lynde – I am a WomenHeart Champion and also serve as the District Community Leader for the Northeast District in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.  I am married almost 35 years, am the mother of five children, and am a recently retired educator. I live in a small town in Massachusetts near the Vermont and New Hampshire borders.  I’m a strong proponent of educating women about their health and always working to improve the lines of communication across states, while encouraging them to promote awareness about women’s heart health. It continually amazes me (and it shouldn’t because I am just as guilty!) how much we take care of others while neglecting our own health. Every time I speak with a woman and know I’ve made a connection with something she had not realized nor had thought about, I get that great feeling of “Yes! I’m doing the right thing!”

WomenHeart Champions are working across the country to educate women about heart disease. Explore the links below to learn more about the WomenHeart resources available to support women living with heart disease and to help all women stay heart-healthy!
