DESCRIPTION:In recognition of PCOS Awareness Month\, WomenHeart invites you to learn more about polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS)\, the new name for the condition previously known as PCOS. \nPMOS is a complex hormonal and metabolic condition\, but it is often discussed primarily in relation to periods\, fertility\, and reproductive health. As a result\, women may not recognize how its symptoms are connected or understand its potential implications for their overall and long-term health. \nJoin OB-GYN Dr. Nikki Petrillo\, cardiologist Dr. Michelle Dew\, and WomenHeart Champions with lived experience as we explore PMOS symptoms\, diagnosis\, and treatment. Together\, we’ll discuss the connection between PMOS and cardiovascular health and how women can work with their healthcare teams to ensure the condition is considered as part of their long-term health and heart care.
