Ready In Red
Ready in Red, WomenHeart's first American Heart Month awareness campaign and photo contest, turned towns and communities across the country into a landscape of red, as businesses, homes and community groups demonstrated their commitment to supporting women living with heart disease. The contest winner will be announced April 1 and will be the recipient of a $500 gift certificate from Travizon Corporate Travel.
WHAT: Ready in Red. Participants decorated communities with the official Ready in Red poster and additional visual materials to bring attention to heart disease as the leading cause of death in women.
WHERE: In cities and towns all across America. Local businesses, doctors' offices, places of worship, community centers, women's groups, hospitals, beauty salons, and more were decorate with the Ready in Red poster.
WHEN: February—American Heart Month!
WHY: To spread awareness in communities across the country about heart disease—the leading cause of death in women. The participant with the best photograph of how they got their community ready in red wins:
