Berry Smoothie with Lemon Thyme
It’s Spring Thyme!
This month’s Recipe of the Month comes from our #29daysofheart partners My Natural Sistas! For the #29daysofheart African American outreach campaign, My Natural Sistas recreated one of our favorite recipes; and with Spring in full effect, the Thyme is now to break out the blender for a heart healthy treat!
3 sprigs fresh lemon thyme (if you don't have lemon thyme, regular thyme will be just fine)
1/2 T grated lemon peel
8 oz mixed frozen berries
1 1/2 cups almond milk
1/4 cup fresh blueberries
1/2 cup of coconut sugar
