The Women's Cardiac Center is designed to help women understand their individual risks for heart disease by offering the latest information on the unique characteristics of women's cardiovascular health from risk analysis to early diagnosis and treatment. This screening opportunity focuses on disease prevention, while stimulating and empowering women to take a proactive role in their cardiovascular health and fosters partnering with their health care provider.
Target Audience
- Women 18-80 years of age (ideal 35-65)
- Complimentary service for OB/GYN, IM, FP
Services Offered
Heart Health Assessment
Purpose: To identify individual cardiovascular risk factors and other health issues that could potentially effect overall cardiovascular health. Focus on prevention, health promotion and wellness with individualized education, resources and physician referrals if indicated.
Primary Tier of Service
Fee for Service: $55
Time Involvement: 1 hour
Includes: Fasting lipid profile (total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol), cholesterol/HDL ratio, blood sugar, TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), blood pressure, waist/hip ratio, body fat analyses and one-on-one interactive cardiovascular focused health screening with a seasoned cardiac nurse.
Secondary Tier of Service
Fee for Service: $150
Time Involvement: 1 hour
Includes: Fasting lipid profile (total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol), cholesterol/HDL ratio), TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), Cardiovascular Risk Panel (hemoglobin A1C, fibrinogen, c-reactive protein, homocysteine, lipoprotein (a)) blood pressure, waist/hip ratio, body fat analyses and one-on-one interactive cardiovascular focused health screening with a seasoned cardiac nurse.
Follow-up Heart Health Assessment
Purpose: To assess individual risk factor modification and overall health status. Focus on prevention, health promotion and wellness with individualized education, resources and physician referrals if indicated.
Fee: $40
Time Involvement: 30 minutes
Includes: Fasting lipid profile (total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol), cholesterol/HDL ratio, blood sugar, blood pressure and one-on-one interactive cardiovascular focused evaluation since last visit.
Partnering Special
Purpose: same as heart health assessment to encourage peer partnering in proactive health maintenance
Fee: $45/each for primary tier with mother/daughter, sisters or best friend
$145/each for secondary tier with mother/daughter, sisters or best friend
Time Involvement: 45-minutes to 1 hour each
Includes: same as heart health assessment assessments conducted together in same room at the same time
