About the NCHR Patient Advocacy Workshop:
Researchers in government and universities are listening to patients’ perspectives regarding how to determine whether the likely benefits of a treatment outweigh the likely risks. That’s why NCHR is holding several free workshops for individuals who want to be advocates for patients. These NCHR Workshops will train patients and family members by providing basic information about research used to study the benefits and risks of medical treatments, and how they can share their own views and perspectives in ways that will most benefit patients.

The first Patient Advocacy Workshop will be held on Friday, November 13, and Saturday, November 14, at the National Center for Health Research in Washington, DC.

The 2-day workshop is free, and meals are also included. Hotel rooms and travel scholarships to Washington, DC are available for those who live at least 50 miles away. Click here for more information.

Please complete NCHR’s application here if you are interested in being considered to participate in the workshop.
