Support Network Program - provides grass roots support networks led by volunteer patient coordinators who meet annually for a training conference. Currently operating in 50 cities.
Celebrate Survival Program - encourage women to acknowledge and celebrate their cardiac anniversaries and share their experiences on dedicated web page; offers custom sterling silver charms commemorating first, fifth and tenth anniversaries.
Red Bag of Courage Program - provides 100,000 bags of information, coupons and products to help women take charge of their heart health. Distributed through Support Networks, women's heart centers and physician offices.
Stories from the Heart - our self-published collection of first-person essays written by women living with heart disease and their family members reduces isolation and feelings of being unique and alone.

Mayo Clinic Symposium - competitive leadership training for 60 women heart patients who attend four days at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, of seminars, workshops, advocacy and media trainings to develop skills for community education and outreach.
Bi-annual Membership Meeting - national mid-July meeting attracts women heart patients and their families to workshops, lectures and off-site excursions. 2004 was in Los Angeles at UCLA and 2006 will be in Chicago.
Annual Business Meeting - convene Board of Directors, Advisory Board, Corporate Advisory Committee, and Coalition members for spring business and briefing meeting; featuring annual awards luncheon.
Monthly E-mail Newsletter - subscriber-based free newsletter containing organization news, a support network spotlight and links to current news and research updates.
Online Bookstore - stocks 20 book titles related to women and heart disease, greeting cards, Red Dress pins, WomenHeart polo shirts, and Red Dress silk scarves and ties for sale.
"White Blouse" PSA campaign - award-winning photographs of bypass surgery survivors will appear in PSA campaign in women's magazines.
www.hearthealthywomen.org - only science-based gender-specific website on the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease in women, designed and conducted in conjunction with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation in NYC.
Brochures - produce and distribute a variety of information brochures and bookmarks.
Quarterly Print Newsletter - (Proposed) Provide gender specific information on cardiac medical research studies, nutrition and lifestyle information, and mental health issues, as well as patient stories and advocacy news; 100,000 circulation.
Advocacy
10Q Report - identifies the top 10 unanswered research questions affecting women and heart disease and asks Congress to re-direct NIH funding to answer the questions in order to improve the quality of women's cardiac care and reduce their deaths by 50% in 10 years. Unveiled in February 2006 at a Capitol Hill press conference, it is a joint project with our Scientific Advisory Board and the Society for Women's Health Research
Advocacy Institute - a four-day advocacy training for Mayo Clinic Symposium graduates that includes public policy briefings and culminates with Capitol Hill visits to Senate and House offices. Held in odd years, such as 2007.
Association of Women's Heart Programs - helped to create this new organization and form a patient advisory council to develop minimum standards of quality cardiac care for these programs and to certify its professional staff.
Public Policy Outreach - staff provides on-going public policy research and support to numerous patient treatment access coalitions, Medicare Rx benefit coalitions, and women's health coalitions. Staff attends numerous Capitol Hill briefings and policy conferences, and works with various Members of Congress on policy, Medicare and appropriations matters.
