Re-Connect Spiritually
Share |
Being part of a spiritual community - church, mosque, temple, or synagogue - can help your recovery. If you practice your faith regularly, your blood pressure and stress levels will tend to be lower, you feel more peaceful, and are likely to take better care of yourself. You also can receive strength and comfort from your ties to a community of worshippers, and a sense of connection, purpose, and meaning in your life. Your recovery is a good opportunity to develop and explore your faith, and to connect with the roots and healing traditions of your faith.
